March 11 - Cozy Creations

In this session, we will be learning about the emotions a rescue animal may be feeling when they first enter a shelter, and some ways we can provide comfort. We will also be making no-sew fleece tie blankets for shelter cats.

Mutt-i-grees is a program that is designed to teach social and emotional learning in a wide range of youth ages to develop empathy, resiliency, and an awareness of oneself and others, creating a more humane future. The curriculum was developed in partnership with Yale University, and is being presented by the Legacy Center for Community Success and Humane Society of Midland County. For 4th - 7th graders. Parents welcome. Registration required for child only.

Registration starts at 6 AM on the fifteenth day of February. Register at gadml.librarycalendar.com or call us at (989) 837-3466.
