A Day in the Life- Dogs can have many careers: sports (agility), therapy work, tracking/search and rescue, etc. There are also many options for us to pursue a career involving animals. It also takes a community of professionals to care for companion pets. Veterinarians, vet techs, shelter employees, animal advocates, handlers, dog trainers, dog walkers, dog daycare owners, and dog groomers are just a few of the important people in our community who are there for our pets.
Mutt-i-grees is a program that is designed to teach social and emotional learning in a wide range of youth ages to develop empathy, resiliency, and an awareness of oneself and others, creating a more humane future. The curriculum was developed in partnership with Yale University, and is being presented by the Legacy Center for Community Success and Humane Society of Midland County. For 4th - 7th graders. Parents welcome. Registration required for child only.
Registration starts at 6 AM on the fifteenth day of January . Register at gadml.librarycalendar.com or call us at (989) 837-3466.
