Here at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library we believe in reading the book before you watch the movie. Join us for our summer book club series where you read the book, and then we show the movie!

Introducing sensory friendly movies at the library, where every person is welcome to enjoy a movie in our theater. Our Sensory Friendly Movies are shown without previews, with the volume down and the lights on.

Come to the Midland Area Farmers Market at 10:00 AM for a Storytime full of fun! We will be reading books, singing songs, and moving creatively while building early literacy skills.

SAIL TO THE PACIFIC ISLANDS with MCFTA, as they introduce all ages to the rich culture of Polynesia through a short story, music, dances and handcrafts!

A bedridden boy's grandfather reads him the story of a farmboy-turned-pirate who encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love.

Join us for Move and Groove to read a story, sing and dance to fun action songs, and participate in movement activities! We will meet Thursdays at 10:30 in the library lawn under the west portico of the staff parking lot.

Stop into Youth Services Makers Space to create your very own fire-breathing dragon! Materials for these crafts will be available between 11 am and 7 pm.

This support group will offer caregivers emotional, educational and social support and encouragement as they take on the demanding task of caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Come to the library and play yard games in the Story Room! We will have cornhole, ring toss, giant connect four, and so many more games!

This is a drop-in program. Adult supervision required.

As part of our Family Night, all are welcome to come and watch Patrick Harrison's watermelon carving demonstration. He is known as Lord of the Gourd and will be carving unique creations in the Orchard Room from 4:00-7:00pm.
