How do you write for children? What is required to grab—and keep—a young person’s attention in a well-written book? Award-winning poet and children’s book author, Shutta Crum, will share her experience working agents, editors, and children themselves to provide participants with tips and techniques to write for the “toughest audience.”
SHUTTA CRUM is the author of several middle-grade novels and picture books, along with poems and magazine articles. Her children’s book, THUNDER-BOOMER! was an ALA and a Smithsonian Magazine “Notable Book” of the year; her books have made Bank Street College of Education Book List as well as various state award lists.
