Event Details

Join WCMU and the Michigan Learning Channel for a spring literacy celebration filled with books, creativity, and hands-on activities that help young imaginations grow - featuring special guest Carl the Collector from PBS KIDS!

Planned Station Activities:

  1. Free books - giveaway table
  2. Rock painting - on-site activity
  3. Seed planting - take-home activity
  4. Showtime/Corner Theater - streaming Carl the Collector episodes 
  5. Carl the Collector photo op - character will be on site w/ photo backdrop available (appearance times at 2:15 pm - 2:45 pm AND 3:15 pm - 3:45 pm)
  6. Station info table - free swag, WCMU/MLC pamphlets and program guides, Q&A with staff, etc.
