Each Dog Has a Story: Creative Writing Workshop

Join us for a fun and creative introductory writing workshop and write a short story or poem about shelter pets. Learn about writing styles and and genres of writing, and how to outline ideas and organize thoughts for your writing project. Sharing your project with the group is voluntary, no pressure, no judgement. Just enjoy the creative process of writing.

Mutt-i-grees is a program that is designed to teach social and emotional learning in a wide range of youth ages to develop empathy, resiliency, and an awareness of oneself and others, creating a more humane future. The curriculum was developed in partnership with Yale University, and is being presented by the Legacy Center for Community Success and Humane Society of Midland County. For ages 9 - 13 years. Parents welcome. Registration required for child only.
