Program Description

Event Details

Join storyteller Jenifer Strauss for Gyotaku: Japanese Fish Printing. Gyotaku started in Japan as a way for fishermen to record their catch. Traditionally, Gyotaku prints were made by applying inks to an actual fish and then pressing thin, but tough paper onto it. In this workshop, teens will learn about the tradition of fish printing, examine fish anatomy, and create unique fish prints. For Teens and Adults.

This is an in-person program in the Library's Community Room.
