Time to gather ‘round! November is Family Stories Month, when we celebrate our histories and stories passed down from generations.
Tales of laughter, adventure, and love can carry us through the years. Listen to stories from loved ones and read books about families of all shapes and sizes. Log your reading and activities to earn badges throughout the challenge.
Log 10 hours of reading during the month of November, and you'll earn an entry into a drawing for a gift card to a local business! Earn extra drawing entries by completing activities within the challenge. We'll draw one child (0-3rd grade), one tween/teen (4th-12th grade) and one adult to win. Register in the Beanstack app or at gadml.beanstack.org, or pick up a paper logging calendar at the Reference or Youth Services desk starting November 1.
(What counts? Reading a book, listening to an audiobook, reading aloud to others, listening to someone read to you … just 20 minutes per day will get you to 10 hours by the end of the month!)
