This craft to go will include materials to make a book that you can write your very own story in! Write a story about your family, home, or something you like in your community. Draw a picture of what you've chosen for the cover and create a title! Make it your own and fill the pages with words expressing how your family, home, or community (or all three!) positively impact your life. Instructions to guide you through putting this craft together will be included, as well as other fun early literacy activities that you can enjoy at home! For ages 12 and under. Registration begins April 13 at http://gadml.librarycalendar.com, or register by calling us at 989-837-3430. Registered participants can pick up a craft kit at the Youth Services Desk on Wednesday, April 20 starting at 9 AM. One craft per registered person. If you have more than one child to register, please click the green "Add Another" button to add their first and last names. Do not put additional registrants in the "Notes" section. Please pick up your bag on April 20. If you cannot make it to the library to pick up your craft bag, please call the library and we will hold it for you.
