For Families of all types
Would you like to find a way to communicate better with your family? Is taking turns talking an issue at home? In celebration of Native American Heritage month, take home a talking stick craft to create as a family. Each member will place his/her own yarn color on the stick and adorn with feathers. When sitting together as a family, only the person holding the stick is allowed to speak.
48 kits available. Only one kit per family. Registration is required and will be open November 9th at 12 am until November 15th at 9 pm at http://gadml.librarycalendar.com or by calling the Reference Desk at 989-837-3449. Craft available for pickup Wednesday, November 16th from 9am until 7:30 pm at the Adult Reference desk. If you cannot make it to the library to pick up your craft bag, please call before the end of the day of pick up and we will hold it for you.
