Enjoy a special Christmas concert with pianist Michael Wechter this Friday, December 20th in the Library Auditorium at 6:00pm.
Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not required.
Michael Wechter is a pianist from Saginaw, Michigan with over 30 years of experience. He earned his Bachelor's from Arizona State University and Master's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Utah State University, along the way studying with renowned pianists Dr. Caio Pagano and Prof. Gary Amano. His musical style blends elements of classical music, improvisation, contemporary, and pop styles, allowing him to bring a unique and diverse sound to his performances. Over the years, Michael has performed in a wide range of settings—everything from concert halls to churches, nursing homes, restaurants, and farmer's markets. He has composed and produced numerous albums with wide stylistic ranges. He is also an avid street performer and regularly accompanies local choirs, as well as directing the choir at his church in Midland, Michigan. You can also find him playing the organ for the Great Lakes Loons baseball games. Michael is passionate about continuing to improve his craft, and when he's not making music, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Emi, and their three sons.
